Amanda Veitch

The majority of Amanda’s HR career has been working with local manufacturing companies bringing extensive knowledge in both HR and Health and Safety practices. She has since then become the President and Owner of HRP4B; an HR consulting, coaching and training firm servicing SW Ontario. Amanda has a passion for working with small and medium sized businesses looking to build a strong HR foundation and create engaged, motivated and cohesive teams. She believes that culture starts from the top, and with a strong, aligned leadership team, businesses will be on the right path to achieve their goals and potential.

Amanda obtained an Undergraduate Degree at Western University and Graduate Certificates in Human Resources Management and Occupational Health and Safety from Fanshawe College. Amanda received her CHRL designation and sits on the Board of Directors with the London and District Human Resources Professional Association. Amanda is also a part-time professor at Fanshawe College where she enjoys working with HR students. Amanda is happily married with a son named Hudson and a Siberian Husky named Misha. In their spare time they like to hike and explore as much as possible.

Nic Preston

Nic is a labour and employment lawyer based in London, Ontario. In addition to representing employers in all aspects of labour and employment law, Nic provides guidance and oversight to HRP4B’s consultants and provides services to clients when needed in complex matters. Nic’s previous experience includes practicing at a leading firm in South Africa where he led many complex litigation matters. He joined HRP4B as a co-owner in 2023 and works closely with the team in all aspects of the business.

Nic holds both his LLB and LLM from the University of Pretoria. Nic serves as an advisor to the HRP4B consultants to ensure all work being done is compliant with applicable provincial and federal labour and employment laws and to ensure any areas of risk are addressed and mitigated through our work.

Katherine Englander
B.A., Human Resources Business Partner

Katherine holds a BA in French and psychology; a Certificate in Human Resources Management, an HR Business Partner Certificate, is a certified Life Coach, a Personality Dimensions facilitator and she is the founder of HRP4B Inc. She has been teaching part-time at Fanshawe for over 12 years. She is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association. She proudly serves as a volunteer Director on the Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning Board, the Better Business Bureau of Western Ontario and the St. Thomas Executive Association.

Katherine built HRP4B based on over 30 years of working experience in Human Resources. Katherine worked closely with Hicks Morley Labour Lawyers in her first HR position and gained a strong understanding of compliance as well as grievance management. Since then, she has held a number of HR Management positions and worked for two different recruiting firms, as both a Staffing Specialist and a Branch Manager. She enjoys life in Port Stanley with her spouse Brad and miniature rescue poodle Piper. Brad and Katherine have 5 adult children.

Stephanie Legdon
B.A., J.D.

Stephanie is a Human Resources Consultant.  She holds a B.A. in sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University, a J.D. from the University of Windsor Law School, and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Fanshawe College.  She practiced in various areas of law before pursuing Human Resources as a career and is eager to use her experience to proactively address issues before they happen.  She is excited to join HRP4B and help businesses with all their human resources needs. 

Stephanie was born and raised in London and loves serving her community by volunteering with the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and Victoria Public School.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, golfing, and hiking with her two young sons.

Michelle Pereira

Michelle is a passionate and experienced HR professional who has expertise in corporate and high paced environments. She holds a BA in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and has completed her post-graduate degree in Human Resources Management from Fanshawe College. She possesses her CHRP designation and has worked in various medium and large sized businesses in a variety of industries including tech, public health, and finance. With experience working primarily as a HR generalist, she prides herself on guiding managers through unique employee situations and difficult conversations while offering expert advice in various areas of HR, such as people management, health and safety, and policy writing. Michelle is also an active member of the London Chapter of the Human Resources Professional Association.

When she is not in the office, Michelle can be found around the London area with her family, often exploring the outdoors with her two daughters. 

Lianne Gallie

With thirty years of experience working in the Human Resources field holding progressively more challenging positions from Human Resources Administrator to Human Resources Manager, Lianne is a capable, experienced, and well-rounded Human Resources Generalist. Lianne has previous work experience in the automotive, public, private, retail and consulting industries and has a considerably diversified background in the field of Human Resources Management.

Lianne has owned an HR Consulting firm for a number of years in London, Ontario and is also a teacher at Fanshawe College teaching in the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business.  As an HR Consultant, Lianne provides advice and HR services to small and medium sized businesses in Southwestern Ontario.  As a Human Resources Professor, Lianne is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students.  Lianne is passionate about teaching and loves to share her knowledge and experience with the goal of ensuring that future HR professionals are prepared with what they need to be successful in the field. 

Lianne stays active in the field of HR participating in continuing education.  She is a Board Member on HRPA London and District Chapter as well as being the host of an HR Networking group in London. 

Lianne recently obtained a MSc in Human Resources Management.  She has successfully obtained the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation and has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology; a Human Resources Management Post Diploma Certificate; and has a College Teaching Graduate Certificate (Adult Education). 

Katie Selinger

Katie Selinger is truly a Human Resources generalist with over 14 years of expertise in the field. With a CHRL designation, she has vast experience supporting small to large size companies in the industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction (union and non-union) and surface mining.

Katie’s expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, recruiting, payroll, and health and safety.  As a trusted partner, she thrives in curating innovative HR solutions that enable both individuals and teams to excel in the workplace! Katie also has a proven ability to identify deficiencies in teams and as a believer in the principles discussed in the book, “Good to Great”, she operates based on the philosophy that successful companies need to be able to work as a team, and for that to happen, they need to have the right people in the right seats!

Amanda Doughty
HRM Certificate, CHRP

Amanda is a strategic HR professional with over 20 years of working experience in HR and Operations in the retail industry. She has a passion for propelling teams to deliver outcomes that meet or exceed expectations through continuous improvements to staffing processes, succession planning, and workplace management. Amanda has extensive knowledge in performance management, talent acquisition and onboarding, HR policies and programs, training and development, employment law, compensation and benefits, as well as organizational operations and administration.

Amanda obtained her Human Resources Diploma and Grad Certificate in Human Resources Management at Fanshawe College. Amanda has received her CHRP designation and is an active member of the Halton Chapter of the Human Resources Professional Association.

Taelor Speciale

Taelor has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from Laurentian University and completed her post-graduate degree in Human Resources Management from Fanshawe College. Taelor also completed her HR Law Certificate from Osgoode Law School. She has extensive knowledge in HR Operations stemming from several different industries including; retail, private sectors, manufacturing companies, and educational institutions. Taelor has volunteered as a Board Committee member for the HRPA, and as a Volunteer Resources Manager for a non-for-profit organization. 

She specializes in HR law, investigations, and compliance. Through Taelor’s experience she is multifaceted in all areas of HR including; health and safety, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations and accommodations. Taelor is currently working towards obtaining her Certified Human Resources Leader designation and through self-study, learning Italian and French. Taelor is passionate about her fitness and health, and spending time hiking outdoors.

Mallary Perez
Business Administration, HR Management Advanced Diploma

Mallary is a seasoned HR professional with over 10 years’ experience in various unionized and non-unionized industries such as healthcare, government, insurance, and not-for-profit. With her extensive experience, strategic and innovative mindset, and client-focused approach, Mallary is well-equipped to guide organizations through the complexities of HR management and drive sustainable growth and success.

As an HR Consultant, Mallary has worked with a wide range of clients across different industries, providing guidance and practical solutions to address their HR challenges. She has a proven track record of success in areas such as talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, policy development, employee relations, compliance, and overall HR operations. Her approach to consulting is characterized by her ability to listen attentively to her clients’ needs, analyze complex situations, and develop strategies to drive positive change. She takes pride in her role as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through challenges and opportunities with confidence and expertise.

Kathy Pennacchietti
HRM Certificate

Kathy has over 30 years in the Human Resources field.  The majority of Kathy’s career has been in the manufacturing sector with responsibilities in Human Resources Management in facilities that ranged from 250 – 800 employees as well as responsibility in a Corporate HR Manager role which included over 10,000 employees in multiple divisions in Canada, U.S., and Mexico.  A Human Resource professional with strong knowledge, skills, and experience in all disciplines of the Human Resources field. Kathy’s passion is in Leadership Development and Culture, assisting leaders to reach their full potential and creating a culture that attracts and retains talent. 

Kathy has demonstrated effective leadership by teaching, coaching, and mentoring of all levels throughout an organization. A strategic planner who is goal focused and results oriented in meeting the organizations business goals. Kathy has spent her career working in partnership with manufacturing leaders in strategic thinking, creating programs and best practices that build a culture of respect and employee engagement.  She is a champion of continuous improvement initiatives and a change leader. An excellent public speaker, facilitator, and trainer of both small and large groups.

Kathy obtained an Executive Administration certificate from Conestoga College and a Human Resources Management certificate from Fanshawe College while working fulltime and raising her family with spouse Dan.  They have 3 adult children, and their family continues to grow with grandchildren, keeping them busy and filling their lives with happiness.  Kathy loves to travel and has been fortunate to visit multiple countries where she enjoys meeting new people and learning about the culture.  Kathy believes that you can learn from every person you meet and every experience you have as long as you are open to it.

Lisa Mitchell

Lisa Mitchell received her Honours BSW degree from King’s University College and brings extensive previous experience providing primary support care to various populations, in addition to assisting with social program development and evaluation. Lisa’s passion is supporting people’s mental health and encouraging balance to help people excel in their personal and professional lives. She is dedicated to promoting psychological workplace safety for both employees and employers. Lisa loves to run and bake vegan treats—which is one of the ways she works on her own mental health and work-life balance.
